Tutor.com and The Princeton Review Named 2023 Excellence in Equity Award Winner

High-Dosage Tutoring Recognized as New Product of the Year by the American Consortium for Equity in Education

NEW YORK, December 14, 2023 /— Tutor.com, one of the world’s largest and most innovative online tutoring organizations, and its affiliate company, education services giant The Princeton Review, won the New Product of the Year Award for High-Dosage Tutoring in the inaugural Excellence in Equity Awards program presented by the American Consortium for Equity in Education.

Honoring the industry contributors—companies, products, leaders, nonprofits and more—whose work supports success and equitable achievement for educators and students, this competitive awards program received more than 120 nominations from across the U.S. Of the nominees, 88 were selected as finalists, and today 47 have been announced as winners.

We are thrilled that our High-Dosage Tutoring offering is being recognized for its promise to drive student success, said Sandi White, Chief Institutional Officer, Tutor.com/The Princeton Review. Drawing on best practices from our combined 65 years of serving students, we developed this evidence-based, intensive, high-impact intervention to help students make significant, accelerated learning gains.

The awards were created to acknowledge, spotlight, and celebrate high-impact work across K–12 education, as well as expand and enhance the discussion around educational equity. After the judges’ review, the winning nominees were identified as those whose exemplary contributions stood out among a strong field.

To start, I want to thank not only our winners, but each of our nominees and finalists, as well, for their contributions to educational access and equity, said Ross Romano, strategic advisor to the Consortium and program chair of the Excellence in Equity Awards. It’s due to these daily efforts that schools, educators, and students are able to succeed. It’s been a thrill to see the growing interest in our awards program—which I believe indicates the growing commitment companies are making to innovative equity initiatives—and I congratulate all our winners for work that was truly exemplary this year.

High-Dosage Tutoring is one of several academic support offerings available from the edtech leader. It complements On-Demand Tutoring, which recently demonstrated ESSA Level II evidence requirements for positive impacts on student outcomes. The company’s dedication to ongoing innovation stems from a mission to advance equity and catalyze achievement. High-Dosage Tutoring was designed to enhance K–12 districts’ Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).
